Rejected Video #6

Hi everybody,

Well I was going to stop at #5 (and save the vast supply of rejected Lamby tribute videos for future generations), but moving on takes work; and I haven't had the time and energy for it.

So consider this an encore. Enjoy.

Dolly Dagger by Jimi Hendrix

Here comes Dolly Dagger
Her love’s so heavy, gonna make you stagger
Dolly Dagger
she drinks the blood from a jagged edge
aw, drink up baby

Been riding broomsticks since she was fifteen
Blowin' out all the other witches on the scene
She got a bullwhip just as long as your life
Her tongue can even scratch the soul out of the devil’s wife
Well I seen her in action at the Player's Choice
Turn all the love men into doughnut boys
Hey, red hot mama you better step aside,
This chicks gonna turn you to a block of ice
Look out!

Here comes Dolly Dagger,
Her love's so strong gonna make you stagger, baby
Dolly Dagger
She drinks her blood from a jagged edge
Uh, right on
Drink up, baby
Hey!

Yeah, look at old burnt out Superman
Tryin' to shoot his dust on the sun
Captain Karma kids, they're dead on the run
Oh the words of love, ah
Do they ever touch Dolly Brown?
Better get some highway an' clear outta town

Here comes Dolly Dagger,
Her love's so heavy gonna make you stagger
Dolly Dagger
She ain't satisfied 'til she gets what she's after
She drinks the blood from a jagged edge
Alright
Watch out Devon
You give me a little bit of that heaven

Dolly, heavy mama, get it on, get it on, get it on
Dolly, heavy mama, get it on, get it on, get it on
Dolly, heavy mama, get it on, get it on, get it on
Dolly, heavy mama, get it on, get it on, get it on
Get it on, get it on, get it on, get it on, get it on, get it on
Woo, yeah, yeah, yeah
Woo, yeah, yeah, yeah
Woo, yeah, yeah, yeah
Woo, yeah, yeah, yeah
Woo, yeah, yeah, yeah

You are such a piece of work. I mean, really!

I think /t. will enjoy this one.

not enough clock on your schedule, eh?

i'm tryin' to envision the little lamb with a bullwhip now ..

Now I could also see the video
but not write at the same time
I do love those "pop-up windows"
that allow me to write and watch
and the same time - saves time
Yeah, You know what I am talking about!

;-))

Yes Lil Lambie I hope /t. watches this one "Dolly Dagger" eh, maybe he should be scared...
Oh Puggles my love I still dont think you have found a video to represent and capture the sweet nature of Lil Lambie. ♥

Anna-Lys - Or, to quote the famous pundit Ringo Starr: "Time Takes Time".

***

Enemy - Thanks for not using another, more derogatory, word in place of "work". Though I REALLY prefer a certain body part in place of "work", when a lady wants to pay me a compliment!

***

Lamby - /t. enjoys everything I do. The real question is: did YOU enjoy it?

***

Foam - For some reason, this truly is one of my favorite Hendrix selections. It has a great groove and a "crispness" to it. Sort of like yourself, if I'm to believe the rumors.

I seem to recall a YouTube video of Lamby in action with a bullwhip, to the tune of Neil Young's "Southern Lamb".

***

Anna Lys - I know exactly what you're saying: if I go with pop-up windows, there will be more time for you and I to get better acquainted. From there, we can form a couple and potentially 1/2 of the next ABBA or Ace of Base. And who knows? Maybe it could also free up a minute or two toward a new post.

***

Dianne - Well I suppose I'd be bending the truth a tad, if I refused to admit a recognition of the Dolly-7 connection.

And you may be right. Trying to capture the true essence of Lamby may be as elusive as seeking the delirious effects of opium from a bottle. Perhaps it's only Lamb illusions I recall, when I really don't know Lambs at all.

Yeah! Now you're cookin' with gas. The foxy lady in the purple haze along the watchtower is a bit lacking, but this is it -- the Lamby Anthem.:-)

Look I like Jimi Hendrix, but sometimes when I listen to his lyrics I keep thinking I am listening to Barry White.
In fact, take a Barry White LP and play it on 45 and you just might get Jimi. Play that same record at 78 and you have me doing impressions of Jimi Hendrix after inhaling helium.

you cant go wrong

get it on

i have some live in NYC hendrix that a former kiss roadie gave me. should i send you the MP3?

i still think for lamby something like christy lane is where you oughta go. or maybe slim whitman?

boxcar willie?

keep tryin.

puerileuwaite said...

/t. - How can I express my gratitude for your low standards without it morphing into an insult?

***

Serena - That makes two of us. Soon, there SHALL be others. Next thing you know, they'll ALL be drinkin' the Koolaid.

***

NYD - Thanks a lot pal. Now that image is forever etched in my mind. And in the future I will no longer be able to play Barry White at 78 rpm to speed up my dates.

***

K9 - By now you ought to realize that I'd say yes to practically anything you propose. Marriage in particular. So YES! Send that bad boy this way.

And at some point I'll need to hear the Kiss roadie story (it can be the PG version if you prefer).

Slim Whitman and Boxcar Willie, I can envision. But isn't Christy Lane a porn star? Lamby might not be into that.

whaaaaa? christy lane of late night offer tv fame. big song was "i believe in angels" ....something good in everrrrrrrrrryonnnnnnnnnee. according to the ad, the world adores her. NOT a porn star - i think you mixed her up with crusty shame. grherhaa

ANNA-LYS said...

Mariju-Anna who is that?

puerileuwaite said...

/t. - Wow. That Christy really seems to get around. And here she said that mine was her first and only "metropolis". Perhaps I need to avoid urbane sophisticates altogether.

***

Pink - I know! That was my point. NYD ruined it for both of us.

***

K9 - Somehow I must have missed that tune (and infomercial). Perhaps by design, as I suppose this means my Guardian Angel was looking out for me.

***

Anna-Lys - I don't know, but she sure sounds "exotic", wears "Opium" perfume and would probably lead me astray from the "path of light".

ANNA-LYS said...

Ha ha ha ha :-D

boneman said...

so...are you related to the pug in MIB II ?
The dog walks with attitude, sharks all the pretty girls, and will hurt your child reproducing capabilities if you give him a hard time....

puerileuwaite said...

Anna-Lys - I'd like to think it was me and not the "weed" influencing your comment. My future trip to Sweden may be depending on your answer.

***

Boneman - Don't I wish! Even though we ARE inbred, Frank The Pug is only a distant Second Cousin. This means I have to scrounge for my own cash and chicas.

dianne said...

Hey Puggles my love, I'm exotic, wear Opium perfume and would definitely lead you off the 'path of light'...just wait 'til I get you into the shadows. ♥

BTW did you like the picture?

puerileuwaite said...

Dianne - THAT'S what I was afraid of, which is actually perfect for me.

And no ... I can't open it (at least not with Mozilla) :-(

I'll try again with Internet Explorer, or if that doesn't work ... another laptop.

Little Lamb said...

I really haven't been visiting here very often. I'll have to do something about that.

diana said...

hey pug ..
don't know what kind of computer you have...
but i can copy and paste dianne's link
just fine with mozilla firefox.
i have a mac, btw ..

puerileuwaite said...

Lamby - I have noticed that you've been conspicuously absent for much of "Lambypaloosa". It makes me wonder how committed you are to this institution.

***

Foam - Maybe I'm not grabbing the entire URL, for some reason. And I'm back on the PC (XP) these days, since my Powerbook is currently in a coma. So maybe that has something to do with it.

Please paste the link you were able to use, in a comment (if you can). Thanks.

Little Lamb said...

Pugm, I'm sorry. If I were you, I'd have questions too. It's just that I've been busy with life. Stuff happens.

Lamb - I'm just teasin'. I suppose I'll always have questions. That's what makes the creatures I've never met so darned fascinating. If you need time to take care of other stuff, I understand. I guess.

***

Foam - I finally did figure it out. It seems that there is more to the URL (as I suspected) after the "de" part. So I did a more thorough job of copying and pasting and it worked. I shall comment more on the topic tomorrow.

But I want to thank you for proving yourself a reliable "enabler". So far at least. You certainly passed the first test. There shall be others.

***

/t. - It's like a woolen blanket of Christmas cheer from both sides of the hearth! Normally I'm not a huge fan of the holidays, but this is a special new tradition that finally transcends commercialis

puerileuwaite said...

... commercialism.

Little Lamb said...

It's really not that Pug. I guess I just need to relax and play tetris or just sit around the computer. Sometimes I can be very lazy after getting home from work.

escuuuuuse me ..
but you are the one that passed My test ..
...i think ..
;)

puerileuwaite said...

Lamby - I understand. Relationships take effort. Plus, Tetris is WAY more fun than pugs or Pong.

***

Foam - I did? Yay. And since I didn't KNOW it was a test, I didn't even cheat.

Does this mean I'm now eligible for Foam's version of "Final Jeopardy"?

Little Lamb said...

All right, have it your way, I'll stop by more often, or at least try to.

puerileuwaite said...

Lamby - I'm gonna hold you to it.
